GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBLITIES
Responsible for supervising, planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the purchasing department and staff.
This position also supports the development and implementation of purchasing strategies and systems, purchases materials, supplies, equipment, goods and services, and optimizes processes within the assigned areas.
Develop and implement a local purchase strategy in correspondence with your world wide colleagues
Negotiate North American supplier contracts
Supplier contracts co-approval
Price setting
Coordinate raw material agreements
Select and develop the supplier base
Manage, coach and motivate the local purchase team
Manage price requests from OEM customers within a specific commodity
Manage annual cost reductions through supplier negotiation and resourcing
Manage all supplier in a commodity, including supplier reduction
Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships
Project management with internal and external customers
Coordinate between other departments (engineering program management, logistics, quality, finance)
Report negotiation results and site-visits
ISO 14001 awareness and act accordingly
ISO 16949 awareness and act accordingly
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Master's degree (Engineering, Economics.) or equal by experience.
Professional experience
Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing. Experience in the automotive sector is a plus.
Knowledge & skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong negotiation skills. Good analytical skills. Knowledge of Fasteners is a plus.
Personality
Dynamic and strong personality. Good communicator and persistent.
Mobility
Flexibility to travel on a regular basis.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and IFI standards; documents such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, quotation requests. Must calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Must be able to work in a team environment and successfully complete cross training.
Working ability with common computer application software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
