Perform periodic visual inspection of die cast/trimmed parts.
Computes unobtainable dimensional information.
Inspects and calibrates gages, fixtures, tooling as required and conducts GR&R studies before being used in manufacturing, inspection and die repair.
Reads blueprints accurately with reasonable speed.
Inspects segments, cores, and other die parts, when needed.
Evaluates dimensional results for sample activities (i.
e.
new tooling, engineering changes and customer concerns/complaints).
Works with Engineering and Tool Room to insure parts conform to specifications.
Ability to explain the defects present in the die to Die Repair personnel after inspection of the casting.
Generates and organizes PPAP documentation for submittal and maintains files and records.
