Senior Network Administrator

Summary:
Provides all aspects of local and wide area network infrastructure management and support including:
deploy and maintain hardware as per corporate standards, including software, systems and associated applications, data security, and network configurations.
Installs, configures, and supports internal and external networks across the assigned region.
Troubleshoots network problems, monitors network performance, resolves issues, and documents all changes using change management process.
Ensures network design supports failover, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Provides technical support and guidance to both internal users and external clients to correctly configure new connectivity access across multiple technology environments.
Performs system backups and data recovery, monitors and tunes system software, peripherals, and networks, resolves LAN/WAN communications problems, and resolves support tickets.
Will be required to work the third weekend of every month for the scheduled maintenance downtime period and provide after-hours support for emergencies.
Ability and willingness to travel when required to support other company locations.
Mentors and guides junior resources as needed.

Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with all physical and logical network security requirements including Company procedures, as well as clients and governing agency standards.
Capable to monitor all network-related activities and resolve high level alerts promptly.
Expertise to install, configure, and administer changes for assigned sites and regions to maintain networking devices including Firewalls, Switches and Routers.
Provide network architecture design and prescribe network infrastructure changes based on local and regional business requirements in compliance with required standard Support the network vulnerability penetration assessments, and conduct timely remediation.
Maintain centralized Log management for all networking devices.
Configure and test network connectivity with clients, such as VPN, Trunk, IPSEC tunnels.
Manage network devices to ensure security, maintain performance, and troubleshoot issues.
Support both traditional and cloud networks (virtual private networks).
Document all changes to networking devices by using required change management process.
Support, administer, and monitor intrusion detection and prevention system.
Document and maintain required network diagrams to keep configuration changes current.
Implement new solutions and maintain the network infrastructure.
Collaborate with Global and Regional IT team to support network administration requests.
Conduct required monthly maintenance (weekend) and perform any needed remediation.
Ensure software licensing compliance of all network and PC based software applications.
Ensure all personnel are cross-trained and experienced in each other's routine duties.
Provide guidance and leadership to junior level employees.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education/
Experience:
Four year degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field, plus seven years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred networking Certifications include:
CCNP, JNCIP-SEC, CCSA, CCDP 5
years of work experience across multiple operating systems, server environments, and PC LAN /WAN / Wi-FI networks including Novel, Windows, and UNIX 3
years of experience within Juniper, Palo Alto and Check Point Firewall environments.

years of experience administering Cisco & Fortinet Network switches and routers, required Prior experience with secure tools, such as Tripwire, Nessus, NetMRI, Qualys and Nagios Prior experience working with STRM, PRTG and IDP monitoring systems, preferred Prior experience working with Cyber Security, and encryption methods such as PGP preferred Prior experience working with ITILv3 Foundation service model concepts Good knowledge of network protocol tools including SFTP, TCP/IP; Connet:

Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough understanding of system administration tasks, networking concepts, and configuration.
Ability to evaluate client requirements to craft system network designs and new solutions.
Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision; self-motivated, self-disciplined, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize tasks with strong attention to details and to work well under pressure in meeting tight deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and patiently support end-users, clients.
Responsible to maintain confidentiality.
High-level verbal and written communication skills in English; multi-lingual is a plus.
