Summary:
The Process and Set-Up Technician aligns with manufacturing operations and engineering team to achieve optimal production efficiency and effectiveness in support of the overall goals, objectives, mission and vision of the organization.
Essential Functions:
Remove and insert molds from presses. Program presses utilizing press operation software. Set up work area around presses. Label and maintain order of all tools and equipment. Prepare set-up documents and diagrams for new products. Revise documents and diagrams when improvement processes dictate. Operate tow motor.
Qualifications:
Experience with plastic injection mold set-up; Engel and/or Husky presses; hot runner molds preferred. Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and a sharp focus on safety. Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Computer experience with focus on data entry, handheld computers and Microsoft Suite is essential. Ability to differentiate color including multiple and varying shades of same or similar colors. Proactive troubleshooter and problem solver. Processing experience. Tactful, courteous, polite, and professional team player. Good interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task with patience and tenacity. A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels. Professional image; neat clean uniforms. Self-motivated and self-disciplined. Ability and willingness to work in other areas of production, as well as overtime when needed.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel for training (occasionally)
Willingness to work in other areas of production when needed
Ability to work overtime when required
